Dr Mark Faghy

Dr Mark Faghy is an Associate Professor in Respiratory Physiology at the University of Derby and since 2020 has been leading a number of national and international research trials to better understand the challenges of living with Long COVID. As well as collecting clinical data sets, Dr Faghy’s research group have also been listening to and evidencing the lived experience of patients to help understand the broader challenges for patients and their families.

Another strong interest from the research group is to serve as advocates for the patient’s voice. Patients have and continue to be a key part of the groups research activity and they aim to connect all Long COVID patients to global research efforts by creating a series of public engagement activities that provides a platform for patients to have their voices heard.
